Speaker 1: Tips to give guys in order to flirt.

The main one that I would say is try to be comfortable. I know this is a really, really difficult thing because you're usually not comfortable when you go up but find topics of conversation that you're comfortable talking about. Find a place, an area that makes you more comfortable to talk about it. The more things you have going for you the easier you'll be body language-wise and in your head to be able to flirt with someone. What is something you'd say?

Speaker 2: I think one of the most important things for a guy to remember when flirting is to have the right attitude. Go in there with the attitude that everybody wants you, they all want you. They're all interested in talking to you, they're all interested in getting to know you. So go in there with the answer in your head that they're going to say, 'Yes, I'd love to talk to you.' Because that confidence is so huge. Especially for men hitting on women because confidence, and I'm not talking about arrogance, but confidence is so attractive.

Speaker 1: Yep. Kind of basing on what you said too one tip I'd say is do you like to meet interesting people? Of course. We all do. So you've got to be interesting. A lot of times before dates or before going to a party I just read something on the web that's a funny story that happened that day or something like that. You know those commercials 'the most interesting man in the world'? He doesn't act like that in order to get people, to get women but he does get women because he is that interesting of a person.

Speaker 2: So interesting.

Speaker 1: And people want to be surrounded by interesting people. So learn some things. Come in with a trivia fact. Come in with a neat story of something that happened that day.

Speaker 2: You play Trivial Pursuit.

Speaker 1: It's like, 'Excuse me, what is the longest river in China?'

Speaker 2: The other thing I would say is when you're flirting have some sort of number goal in your head of people that you want to talk to. Especially with guys it makes you come out of your shell. So if you're a little bit on the shy side and you're going out say, 'I want to make two interactions tonight.' If you're a little more gregarious, 'I want to engage with five people.' Really kind of give yourself a number set that you're really going to work towards because it will keep you from sitting on the sidelines.

Speaker 1: Exactly. One of the key things that we teach our clients in flirting is tease. Teasing is fun because there is a little, slight element of danger there. We've all said a joke or teased someone and it didn't go the right way and usually the nice guys like the stereotypical nice guys won't ever tease because they don't want to run the risk of having the person think of it. So when you tease a little bit, obviously jokingly, immediately the woman is like, 'Oh, interesting.'

Speaker 2: Now teasing... Here's the thing that I get frustrated with pickup artists which we've had this conversation. Pickup artists tell people to nag which is so bad.

Speaker 1: I hate that.

Speaker 2: Nagging is really insulting someone so it's being like, 'Yeah, nice shirt...'

Speaker 1: Yeah I would've totally worn that dress like five years ago.

Speaker 2: Exactly.

Speaker 1: Horrible.

Speaker 2: It's almost insulting. The difference of teasing is like...

Speaker 1: Teasing is like, 'Oh god your hair looks good. I was so going to do it myself today but I just didn't have the right ringlets for it.'

Speaker 2: Yeah. It's something that's really cute and playful but it's not offensive. Absolutely guys you can tease just don't offend.

Speaker 1: And understand that you're going to be practicing. There are going to be some false starts on this. Don't get yourself down for that. That's how you learn.

Speaker 2: False start I went straight to football.

Speaker 1: Yeah. False start. Well too bad.

Speaker 2: And it's hot right? Girls like football?

Speaker 1: Woman that likes football. Awesome.
