Speaker 1: All right. So this is all about how to flirt at school.
Speaker 2: OK. Cool. Sounds good.
Speaker 1: So we're in school. We have classroom setting, maybe there's some lockers.
Speaker 2: Hallways.
Speaker 1: And there's that guy that you were like, '[makes sound] He's cute. How do I flirt with him without becoming so awkward?'
Speaker 2: Right.
Speaker 1: Because you see them all the time. So my advice is, for flirting at school, is really to go into a friendly situation.
Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1: Don't go in it thinking that you're gonna date. Go in it being like, 'Let's just hangout.' So if you see someone that you're interested in, and they're a part of a group.
Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1: Say that they're in the Yearbook Club, or whatever club that they're in that you can join, join it.
Speaker 2: Yep.
Speaker 1: Join it and go hangout, go let them know how awesome you are. And while . . .
Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1: . . . you're in that club, start conversations about what's going on.
Speaker 2: Exactly. Like we've talked about previously, the easiest way, I think, to strike up flirting and conversation, is to talk about something that is around you and things like that, too. And if you're in science class with this girl that you like, it's easy to go up, like, 'Hey, I was curious about this question.' Or something like that.
Speaker 1: Yeah.
Speaker 2: It gives you just a place to start the conversation with, and see how the dynamic goes along. There's so many reasons . . .
Speaker 1: Yeah.
Speaker 2: . . . that one would need to talk to each other in a school setting, so it's okay if you use those as your in.
Speaker 1: And I think going back to talking about specific classes, starting a study group could be a brilliant move.
Speaker 2: Yes.
Speaker 1: So don't do it just you and that one other person, make it, like, a foursome.
Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1: And literally be like, 'We're going to work on science or . . .'
Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1: '. . . math.' Or there's this big final or big test coming up, be like, 'Couple of us are gonna go to a pizza place or a coffee place . . .'
Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1: ' . . . and study together.' It gets you in a very intimate situation . . .
Speaker 2: Yep.
Speaker 1: . . . where they're gonna get to know you, and you can start to flirt with them there. When you have them outside of your school setting, and be like . . .
Speaker 2: Exactly. I think that's it. The first thing is outside of the normal . . .
Speaker 1: . . . classroom.
Speaker 2: . . . age school setting. Right. Because, like you mentioned joining the Yearbook Club, if you're not in sports, join other clubs, because it's those after-hours times. I was always in the Drama and doing plays . . .
Speaker 1: Me too.
Speaker 2: . . . and you're having fun.
Speaker 1: Everybody hooked up in the Drama Club.
Speaker 2: Oh, my lord.
Speaker 1: Yeah.
Speaker 2: Join drama. But it basically gives you time in between going home and doing homework, that you get to spend with other people in a little bit less structured environment . . .
Speaker 1: Yeah.
Speaker 2: . . . where you can have some time to be playful and fun.
Speaker 1: Absolutely. And you're already in a like-minded place where you both are interested in something.
Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1: So it kind of already starts off at a foundation.
Speaker 2: Exactly.
Speaker 1: So absolutely join, get together, get outside of the school zone, and go for it.
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, and you're gonna see them all the time. So don't you want to develop a good relationship with them?
Speaker 1: Yeah.
Speaker 2: Get out there.
