Relationships are one of the biggest indicators for a life of health and happiness. This doesn't pertain only to romantic relationships, but also with your family members, co-workers, friends... Relationships can be difficult--I've been working on many of mine, and learning to let go of bad, unhealthy habits. Here are my 3 tips which I believe are most impactful towards promoting happier and healthier relationships:
1) Always assume positive intentions - By taking this stance, you will be more likely to listen, forgive, and learn from each other.
2) Know your love languages - Words of affirmation, acts of service, receiving gifts, quality time, and physical touch. We all have different ways in which we prefer to be appreciated, and it can go a long way to know how your yourself and the other person connects best.
3) Communicate authentically and honestly - This is the most important. How can you lovingly and openly share how a situation affected you and seek to be more patient and understanding of each other? A relationship can't be worked on unless you try and if you don't share how you're feeling, the other person will never know (mind reading isn't a thing yet).
Relationships have such a major impact on our health, but so often, we don't know how to address fixing these problems. I hope this video has been helpful in considering small ways in which you can work on your relationships!
